"Sober" September 2015. One of my first ever paintings. I was experimenting with different mediums and tried a crackle paste on the S and part of the B. I was unaware to the fact that the product was old and dried out, so it was very difficult to work with, but I actually like the result once it dried. The colors gave a universe/celestial type feel to me and the crackle paint reminded me of what the surface of the moon might be like. Proud of this painting and what it means to me! Then I started making book markers. My Mom showed me what Zen Tangles were and I took off with it. I realized I could incorporate the symbol for AA into them, and made AA book makers. I have non-recovery themed book markers in my shop as well.
